HOW TO MAKE A

SATURDAY NIGHT

If you have a pizza stone place it on the bottom rack of your oven and turn your oven on to 500 degrees (or as high as it will go). Give your oven at least 30 minutes to get good and hot.

You will want to have a round pizza pan, cookie sheet or half sheet pan that can accommodate a 14 inch pizza. Or, you could cut the dough in half with a sharp knife and make two 9 inch pizzas.

Using the flour provided, spread it on a clean, smooth countertop or workspace. Take the dough out of the container and set on top of some flour. With your fingertips, press down the center of the dough ball and move until you are leaving a 1 inch crust left untouched. Press outward and stretch the dough into a circle getting bigger with each push. Make sure you have enough flour under the dough as you stretch it that it isn’t sticking to the counter. Continue to stretch until it is 14 inches in diameter, or you can make 2-9 inch pizzas.

You can pick it up and stretch it by having the dough on top of both fisted hands.

Sprinkle your pan with a little more flour and lay your dough on top. This is the hardest part -- don’t get discouraged if it’s not perfect. It’s going to taste great!

Pour the red tomato sauce onto the crust and spread across the entire dough surface, leaving the crust untouched. Tear the fresh basil leaves and place evenly across your sauce. Add your sausage. Evenly spread the mozzarella on top of the sausage. Place the pepperoni across the pizza. Sprinkle the parmesan and then the dried oregano. Brush or drizzle the olive oil on the crust and sprinkle the crust seasoning on the crust.

Bake your pizza 8-10 minutes. Watch it until it is nicely browned. Turn your oven to broil and broil 1-2 minutes until the pepperoni is bubbly and crispy.

If you do not have a pizza stone, turn oven to 425 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes. Leaving pizza in oven, turn oven to broil and broil pizza until desired 'char', 2-3 minutes.

Get out a large quilt or blanket and spread it out on the floor in front of the TV. Pour some of your favorite drinks and enjoy quality time with your loved ones!

HOW TO BAKE THE

COOKIES

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a cookie sheet with parchment.

Place cookies 1-2 inches apart and bake for 11-13 minutes, rotate the cookie sheet halfway after 8 minutes to brown the cookies evenly. If you have a convection oven, this should be just right. Non-convection ovens could take up to 2 more minutes.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly on the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, if you can wait that long.

You are looking for a browned crispy edge and a done center. The temperature of the oven and cookie can change the time, so the appearance of the cookie is more important than the time.
